The Agape House has a strong advantage. We provide early intervention programs to support BIPOC young women. We are assertive, encouraging respect for self and others. We take control, determined to use personal tools to survive and thrive.
Our focus is on the individual. BIPOC young women are disproportionately represented in the foster care system, the homeless community, the judicial system, the penal system, and the pipeline to sexual trafficking. We are preventative. Our efforts aim to break negative and adverse cycles, whether poverty, physical abuse, or systemic racism; we want to break it. We treat each young woman as if she is unique because she is.
We believe we all are interconnected and interdependent. We believe that as the proverb states, “When you save one life, you save the world,” and through empowering young women, we can create a ripple effect of positive change.

The Agape House is a BIPOC, faith-based agency dedicated to equipping and empowering young women, particularly BIPOC young women who often face systemic racism, homelessness, or are aging out of foster care. We achieve this by providing early intervention programs and holistic, culturally competent care. In doing so, we believe we are making a significant return on investment in the lives of homeless, overrepresented, and underserved women, especially those transitioning out of foster care. Our agency's mission is to be proactive, reaching out to empower young women before they encounter the challenges of life on the streets.

Agape House has been a savior in my life, especially as a BIPOC young woman facing the challenges of aging out of foster care. Thanks to their early intervention programs, I earned my GED and enrolled at Seattle Central College. At seventeen, I had doubts about my potential, but I realized that these empowering young women initiatives were key to helping me believe in my success.
I am writing to commend and affirm the tireless efforts of The Agape House on behalf of marginalized, at-risk BIPOC young women who are in need of housing, education, and employment, as well as an opportunity to experience the “playing field being balanced.” Kiti Ward is an exceptional leader with an amazing vision and determination to see change brought about through social justice. Agape House’s overt efforts to identify and recruit black and brown girls are focused on empowering young women through positive role models, early intervention programs, training and education, group meetings, consistent affirmation, and now employment that offers a viable career path.

Equality and social justice are fundamental rights that everyone deserves. At The Agape House, we advocate for marginalized groups, including BIPOC young women, and work tirelessly to address systemic inequalities. We engage in community outreach, policy advocacy, and educational initiatives, including early intervention programs, to empower young women and promote social change. Our vision is a society where everyone is treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their background. Join us in our fight for justice and equality for all.
We are always looking for passionate and talented people.
